If you spend some time at Samae Beach you may notice a wind farm up on the side of the mountain. There are also some trails or pathways that lead to them. When I was living on the island I liked to go up there for the view. At the top where the radio tower is, is a good place to have a picnic (photo below). You should be very skilled at riding motorbike if you are going to go up there as the paths can be steep and narrow. Also consider while going up a steep path that it is easy for the front of the motorbike come up over the top of you especially if there is another person on the back with you. Then also when going down, go slow this will help keep you from overheating the breaks.
