Koh Larn has new floating Piers.

There is this new floating pier (pictured above) at the south end of Samae Beach, and another one located next to the main pier in Naban. The one pictured here is on Samae Beach. I am sure these will be located at most of the beaches very soon.

In the past getting on and off the speed boats at the older type floating piers was a real balancing act. For the younger crowd it is not that big of a deal, but when you get a little older your balance may not be that good. I am sure many people have lost their balance because of the movement of the speed boat and the other type of floating pier. I for one welcome this new improvement, when I walked on this new pier in the picture above it was almost like being on a stationary pier. Another advantage would also be with rolling your luggage along the pier, as you can see there are no sections to catch your wheels. Now if they could only stop the speed boats from bobbing up and down it would be perfect, but I will settle for this big improvement.
